For over ten years, Project PEARLS has dedicated itself to uplifting the lives of children and families grappling with the harsh realities of extreme poverty in Manila. The community we support faces daily challenges that are hard to imagine: their sustenance often comes from "pagpag" – a term for discarded food scraps salvaged from garbage. These scraps, cleansed of dirt, flies, and maggots, then boiled and seasoned, represent their primary source of nourishment.
Your contribution will "adopt" a family, providing them with a grocery pack filled with wholesome food for their holiday celebrations. Additionally, every child in the family will receive a special Christmas gift, a symbol of joy and hope, to open on Christmas Day.
